About The Web COOP
The Web COOP works on a cooperative model, meaning that you will display ads for other members and they display ads for you. The Web COOP is a free public service designed to help web sites promote one anothers site. The concept is simple: by joining, you agree to display advertising banners for other members, and they in turn will to display banners for you. 

The amount of free advertising you receive from the The Web COOP is  proportional to the amount you give to others. Our system will automatically display your banner on our network of member web pages. In addition to giving you access to free banner advertising, we also provide you with up-to-date statistics. 

You don't need a lot of technical expertise to become a member. All you need is the ability to insert our HTML code into your web pages, and create a banner. 

Joining the service is extremely simple, and you can start earning advertising credits within minutes of filling out the registration form. 

 
How The Web COOP works
Once you sign up, you'll be shown the HTML code to insert into your web page. Each time somebody views your web page, a graphical banner like the one at the top of this page will automatically appear. 

This banner will be an advertisement for either:

  1. Another member of The Web COOP
  2. The Web COOP itself
  3. A Web COOP sponsor 
Each time our system displays a banner on your site, we'll automatically credit your account with credit towards displaying your ad. For every full credit your account earns, our system will display your banner on other members' sites. Your credits will be spent automatically by our system, as long as you have submitted a banner that is approved for display on other members sites. 
How do I become a member?
You must qualify to become a member. We will review your site once you have displayed 100 banners. You may display banners on any page you like, however you must follow these simple rules:
  1. The ad must appear near the top of the page
  2. Your site must generate at least 10 unique hit per day
  3. Your banner must be 60 x 468 (this allow the banners to load faster.

Follow these simple steps:
  1. Prepare your banner. If you need one quick, visit our banner builder page.
  2. Place your ad on your own site.
  3. Enter the name and password you wish to use in the form below
  4. You can then enter:
    1. the URL of your site
    2. the URL of your Banner Ad
    3. Your Email Address
  5. Place the HTML code you are given on your web site. Place your ad on the same page you want the user to be directed to when they click on your ad.

When do I become part of the COOP?
Your site is reviewed after you have displayed a hundred banners (you do earn credits for these) on your site. At this point our program will verify that the code has been place on the exact page specified in by the URL and that it is 'near' the top of the page. At that point one of our staff members will verify your banner and site.
